 The presentation that I will be talking about is one group talked about the web and other subjects. The web first started by a man named Tim Berners-Lee in 1989. Tim Berners-Lee was a British computer scientist who was born in London. His boss didn't believe that it would work but Tim proved his boss wrong. When the web first came out not many people were able to go on the web because of the browser and computers that were used so they changed that. The web first came to the United States in 1991. The web was made how it is today in the United States. A man named Mike Sendall decided that it was time to collab with Steve Jobs and make the web for the company Apple. They first came out with computers which is what started their upbringing but the internet really took off and was used a lot when Seve Jobs came out with these computers. Although there were other computers such as Dell, many people switch to Apple computers. Once the internet started to really take off a man named Larry Page and Sergey Brin started Google. Google is one of the most popular sites to search the web. Thye were both students at Stanford University in California when they first invented google. Together they both owned around 14 percent of its shares and control 56 percent of the stockholders. The web is now something that many people can't go without and can't imagine not having today.

Hi, my name is Kelley Safe I am a Junior at High Point University and my major is Strategic Communications. I live in Charleston South Carolina. I lived in charleston till I was five and then moved to Massachusetts to be closer to family on my dad's side. I lived in Massachusetts for twelve years. Although those twelve years were great, I was ready to go back to South Carolina. Im not a huge fan of cold weather.  I made so many great friends while living in the north and they are friendships that will last forever. Growing up I always struggled in school. I was in a public school from kindergarten to fourth grade. My mom and teachers never really knew why I couldn't read and wasn't at the reading level that I was supposed to be at. We decided to take a test and it turns out that I have Dyslexia. After finding out that I had a learning disability my mom had me look at a private school that would help me with that.   The ted talks talked about privacy on social media. Many people put information out on social media and have later on in life regretted putting certain things on social media. You always have to be careful about what you post on social media because you never know what could happen in the future. It could affect your personal life and especially your career. Many people have done that and it’s something that you always have to consider when you post stuff on social media. You have to think to yourself if I post this am I going to be upset later on in life about it or will it affect my life in the future. You have to be super careful now these days because everyone is on social media and it is one of the biggest things that people use to communicate with others. Social media is a great thing but it is also a bad thing.
